Alecia Ward

Founder, owner & operator

Her love for horses began at a young age…

Much like most of us who find ourselves immersed in the horse world, Alecia’s obsession with horses was something that popped up in early childhood. At 6 years old, her mother allowed her to begin taking riding lessons and just like that, the fire was ignited. Despite the fact that none of her family had any horse background, Alecia knew that she belonged in the horse industry.

She spent years in riding lessons and horse camps as a kid and an adolescent. She leased several horses and started working at the barn as soon as she was able to drive. After high school, Alecia attended Michigan State University where she completed the Horse Management Program. During her schooling, she did an internship in Nova Scotia on a farm that hosted ‘Horse Vacations’ as well as operating a Norwegian Fjord breeding program. Immediately after she completed her degree she stepped into a management role at the boarding facility where her horse was located. She oversaw all care for 25+ boarders as well as helped upkeep the large property which featured 5 outdoor arenas, an indoor arena and a cross country course. In 2009, she decided to move to Lexington, Kentucky. She quickly landed a position at Juddmonte Farms, one of the leading Thoroughbred breeders in the world, working as a yearling groom/rider for about 3 years. In late 2012 she started a job as a veterinary technician for an ambulatory veterinarian at Hagyard Equine Medical. She also spent time working as a head groom for a competitive Eventing Rider as well as working at a carriage driving facility. In March of 2015 she moved to middle Tennessee to be closer to family. She accepted a job at FarmVet where she worked for almost 5 years. She was able to take all of the knowledge and experience she had gained throughout the years and use it to help others select which products would be best for their horses. It was a perfect fit. Now as a mother, her life has shifted a bit but her love for being around horses remains. She decided to start this company so that she can continue to share her passion and knowledge with the horses and fellow horse lovers in her community.
